The internet is a rapidly expanding digital ocean which, at it's absolute root, is constructed exclusively of 1's and 0's, be it text, audio, photo or video.  Ultimately, how these 1's and 0's are arranged determines the content of their message.

These messages can build or destroy, create healthy communities or ill communities, amplify human altruism or amplify human weakness. The strength of any system created by people can be measured by the strength of the community it creates.   The strongest systems have altrusitic intent encoded at their inception, and these successful systems share a foundation based on freedom, and incorporate rules in an attempt to protect that freedom.  This freedom is not secured solely by effective enforcement of these rules, but rather it is secured by each persons responsible use of that freedom, and, ultimately, their willingness to apply "the golden rule" in their words and actions.
